Advise for furthering my career in dental hygiene

Hello,
I am a dental hygienist and dental hygiene student at the same time. I am in a bachelor’s dental hygiene program trying to further my career in hygiene. I really love being a hygienist but the job is very straining on the body. My overall goal is to become a full dental hygiene instructor. I was just wondering if I could receive some advice. Is it better to be a didactic professor or a clinical instructor? Why did you choose either or do you teach both? Is it hard to deal with students?
